Our Hare Krishna temples are known worldwide for their unique Vedic culinary arts. In many countries, there are also Hare Krishna restaurants where guests can enjoy the delicious specialties of Vedic cuisine. For us, cooking is more than just an everyday activity – it is a form of devotion, in the knowledge that we want to please God with our food. Each dish is offered to God before it is consumed, and God gives it back to us “spiritually enriched”. We call such food “prasadam”. In this seminar, you will learn to “cook for Krishna”. Together, we will prepare delicious dishes with lots of love and devotion, while you discover new techniques and tips from Ayurvedic, Vedic, and vegan cuisine. You will learn the art of preparing dishes with oriental spices and creating new, exciting recipes. The seminar is suitable for both beginners and experienced cooking enthusiasts and offers a unique opportunity to experience the deeper meaning of cooking.
Analakshita Devi Dasi, who originally grew up as a Christian, has been cooking with her school classes for the past 20 years as a primary and secondary school teacher (main subjects: mathematics
and home economics). She regularly cooks Sunday feasts at Goloka Dhama and bakes the most delicious pizzas for the Goloka Dhama festivals and other events. In her seminars, Analakshita loves to
share one or two “cooking secrets” from her treasure trove. She will introduce you to the practice of “cooking for Krsna” with great joy and spiritual depth. Together with her son Elias Jank, she
is the author of the cookbook “Geweihtes genießen” (Enjoy the Consecrated): a vegan cookbook without onions or garlic!
